HLTAID009 CPR certification is valid for 12 months. To remain compliant with workplace and ACECQA requirements, you must renew your CPR training every year. First Aid courses are to be renewed every three years
HLTAID009 – Provide CPR focuses solely on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, including the use of an AED (defibrillator).
A standard first aid course (HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid) includes CPR training plus a broader range of first aid skills such as treating wounds, fractures, burns, asthma, and anaphylaxis.
If you only need CPR for compliance, HLTAID009 is the right choice. If your workplace requires full first aid, HLTAID011 may be better.
No prior qualifications are required. Anyone aged 14 years or older with basic English and the physical ability to perform CPR on the floor can enrol.
Weekday Courses: Certificates are issued the same day once you complete and pass the course.
Weekend Courses: Certificates are issued on the next business day (Monday). Both digital and optional printed certificates (+$25) are available.
