Why LVR MUST Always Be Completed WITH CPR or First Aid
Electrical networks, SafeWork NSW and all power authorities require that LVR training must ONLY be issued if CPR is current on the same day.
Here’s why:
1. Every real LV rescue begins with CPR
- Victims of electric shock often go into sudden cardiac arrest
• Performing a rescue from an LV panel is useless if you cannot restart their breathing
• ARC guidelines require immediate CPR when shock occurs
2. Network authorisation rules require BOTH skills
Ausgrid, Endeavour, and Essential Energy all mandate:

✔ Current LVR certificate
✔ Completed together or on the same day
3. CPR is part of the LVR assessment itself
You cannot pass UETDRMP018 without demonstrating:
• 2 minutes of CPR
• AED use
• DRSABCD
• Managing an unconscious casualty
4. First Aid (HLTAID011) is preferred by many employers
